After centuries as the Prince of the Carpathians Mikhail Dubrinsky fears he can’t protect them for long from their greatest threat: the extinction of their species- a fate that has become the wicked prayer of his enemies. To ensure it, they are devising a scheme to slaughter Carpathian females. But even with his own lifemate, Raven, and their daughter, Savannah, vulnerable to the encroaching evil, Mikhail's hope is not lost...
In this desperate season, Carpathians from around the world are gathering to join their strengths, their souls, and their powers to bring light to the darkness. But so too are their adversaries uniting – hunters, vampires, demons, and betrayers – bringing untold dangers into the fold of the Carpathian people.
Now for the first time, born from the uninhibited imagination of Christine Feehan, all the inhabitants of Carpathian legend are reunited for a celebration of sensual adventure, undying passion, and astonishing fantasy – one to remember for a thousand lifetimes.

Over the years many of you have written to me asking for a Carpathian reunion book. I have FINALLY managed to convince my publishers that you all want and deserve it!
Dark Celebration is a special hardcover book. It is my "thank you" to all of you who have supported my writing and given me such a wonderful career. Please consider it my gift to you. I’m bringing back many of your favorite characters and I hope you enjoy it.
The reunion book includes a collection of the winning yummy recipes from the Dark Desserts Recipe Contest held at the end of last year.
~IN PAPERBACK FORMAT -- Sept. 25, 2007~
Due to the huge volume of letters asking for its release, this unusual book will be reprinted in paperback form. Thank you to all who wrote in asking. I’m so glad you enjoyed the reunion book. Without a main heroine or hero, we believed that the book would only appeal to a very small group of readers who had written asking for a reunion book. The story takes place in one night, giving the reader a small glimpse into the lives of the existing Carpathian couples and their families. As different as the concept was, it was gratifying to have so many people enjoy the book and want it in mass market format as well. Thank you to all my readers who took the time to write to me and let me know they enjoyed this book!

DARK CELEBRATION is a gift from Ms. Feehan to her faithful readers who have been asking for a gathering of all the couples we have met so far. Ms. Feehan has delivered a present that will be loved by her fanbase, her classic battle scenes are outdone only by the scenes that will have all of you melting as each couple renews their love for each other. Everyone has a chance to see his or her favorite couple interacting as you roar with laughter when they try their hands at cooking the “human” way. Also a staple of a Feehan Dark book is the message of hope and love, from the abused Skylar, Syndil and Destiny who battle to overcome their memories, to Dimitri and Monolito who find their lifemates even though they will have to endure until they can be claimed, to the women who are or will become pregnant, despite the danger of loosing them in the first year. All have the hope that they will survive and the Carpathian Christmas party brings that to the forefront along with Santa Clause’s presents brought in on a sleigh and a jolly Ho Ho Ho from …. I’ll never tell !! A Celebration of Love and the best early Christmas present I’ve had in a long time!!

With Dark Celebration Christine Feehan offers a fun holiday reunion book full of rich characters, humor, and dark secrets for readers to enjoy. Feehan doesn’t just stop at a nice sugar coated Christmas story, but adds elements of suspense and introduces new characters that pull readers in and add a delight that will bring new Carpathian novels in the future. Feehan adds a great comic element by having the Prince tell everyone that he will be asking Gregori, one of her most dark and tortured Carpathians, to pose as Santa Clause.
Dark Celebration is written for those familiar with Feehan ’s series and, while it does incorporate enough information for those new to the series, draws heavily on her previous novels. Feehan doesn’t just stop at giving readers an update on their favorites like Mikhail and Raven, Shea and Jacques, Aidan and Alexandria, Jaxon and Lucian, Darius and Tempest, Dayan and Corrine, Desari and Julian, Barack and Syndil, and many more. Feehan continues by melding these reunion elements together with a solid suspense story filled with action and mystery that readers have come to expect in her books.
Dark Celebration also introduces us to Skyler, who appeared in Dark Legend as Francesca and Gabriel’s adopted daughter. Now a teen, Skyler comes face to face with Dimitri, a tormented Russian Carpathian. Also setting the stage for another installment in the series are the De La Cruz brothers from Dark Secret and the novella “Dark Hunger.” Fans of the series should not wait to get their copy of Dark Celebration and laugh and sigh as they delve into the pages of this enjoyable paranormal romantic suspense. Certainly the most fun for readers of the Carpathian series is getting a chance to celebrate as we see the happily-ever-after unfold.
