I have always been interested in the vampire legend. Let me just say, your books are awsome! I'm not one for romance novels usually, but you captured my interest quickly...the first one I read way Dark Guardian. That one book was all it took...now I've been hunting down all the others in the series. I even got one of my closest friends addicted to them..and mail her one about once a month. I haven't read any of your other books, but I got this one when I went on a trip to disney World. I saw the book, it jumped out at me, and I bought it. The only question I have is "will there be a sequal"? I kind of was looking forward to whether or not Ryland and Lily would find all those women, and also how their marriage would be, and if the other men could make it in the outside world or not. Did you know that your book appears in Kate and Leopold? It's a romantic comedy starring Meg Ryan and Hugh Jackman. Kate played by Meg Ryan walks to her office and her assistant is reading Dark Challenge. I dont think any of them had actually read the book otherwise they wouldn't have said that the heroine finds hero at the end after he gets gangrene, but my eyes did perk up when I saw the cover...lol.

I want to tell you how much I enjoy your books. I haven't read one that I didn't like, and that's an accomplishment becuase I read a lot of books. My only complaint -- your publisher doesn't release the books quick enough. Since it only takes me a day to read each one because once I start, I don't put the book down until I finish, it makes for a long wait for the next one. I know I'm not as specific in my messages to you, but you know what your books say. I don't have to repeat anything. Just know that I absolutely love your books, and (let me predict the future) those to come. I have read somewhere, probably on this website that your publisher dictates your releases for your books. Hats off for that because that is brilliant marketing. I already know that when I see a book with your name on it, I'm going to buy it, regardless of whether or not I have time to read the synopsis on the back. It powerful to see/feel the strangth of everlasting love. So many couples brought together and last forever.

I only wish that there would be more on the vampires. Even in these stories, its still hard to believe that a vampire can't be saved. To understand that they lost their souls because there was not their lifemate to fill in the gap, but what of that?

Why can't love concure all? If love is the meaning of it all, then why could one not be brought back? In my heart I shall dream that even they can be saved, even if it never really happens.

I believe in the power of love an hope that it could save everone, those with the darkest souls or those with none. Love concures all evil right? I hope so. We all need a little. These stories just let us all see into the heart of love itself and share what is ther and what is out there for all of us

Am I relieved that the dark series is continuing.Is a translation into german planned? Hope so, for all the folks I know who can't read english. (If you have it planned, be sure to have a first class translator- C.S.Lewis Narnia books were ruined when translated.)

I have since finished the stories, Shadow Game and also Dark Melody, and of course like all your other work, they are superb. I have read every book in the Dark series, all of your anthologies and every independant novel except for " A very Gothic Christmas" because I havent been able to find a copy. I have never really been into romance novels until I came across Dark Guardian a few years ago and have been hooked ever since. I have one question, How were you able to come up with the story line of a race of people called the Carpathians? I would like to add my kudos to those others here for you Ms Feehan. You are an amazing author and have an extremely wonderful talent for storytelling. My best friend interduced me to Dark Prince and since then it has been a race for us to see which one of us will get the next book first. Your Dark series really can get the blood pumping and I have a really hard time doing anything else whenever I am reading one of them. I really really enjoyed Daylan's story, for me it was really good to see the more emotional side of thier fight for survival.

for those who like fruit cake and like to bake simple fuit cake cookies 1 cup brown sugar. i/4 cup margine 2eggs 1 1/2 ts. baking soda1 1/2 ts. milk 1 1/2 cup all purpuse flour 1/4 ts.cloves 1/2 ts. cinnanom, 1/2ts.nutmeg, 1/2lb. chooped candied cherries 1/2 lb.candied pineapple choppied 1/2 lb. white rains. 1/2 cup apple juice.1 lb. pecans. mix sugar,butter ,eggs ,spicies.togetherwith apple juice and milk.fold in flower and soda . mix real good then add fruit and nuts. your cookie sheet needs to be sprayed with pam are oiled. bake at 300. for 20 min. they are real good .for those that likes vanillie I add a tab. only1 though . good eating. I am a diabetic type two I can eat a cocpple when i add it as disert and my blood sugar stays at 130. so if you are diabetic be carful. 130 is not over the top but you dont want it higher .merry christmas

I had a bit of trouble getting to sleep last night. My transmission in my intrepted decided it didn't need to stay in my car so it flowed out gracefully onto the pavement of the marketbasket by my house. The Lord sent a macanic to by food at the same time I started my car and my transmission fluid decided it wanted to leave home. He said lady turn your car off now. Hi all!

I've really been enjoying the Dark series, after reading Dark Guardian and Darn Legend.

Recently, I purchased all of the books of the rest of the series and have started reading from the beginning. Now, however, I have found myself in a quandary.

Gregori is supposed to be about 1,000 years old, one of the oldest Carpathians. Lucian is his younger brother. So how did Lucian meet Jesus? Lucian was told that his twin would find his lifemate, correct? So how could that happen when Jesus' time was about 2,000 years ago?

I enjoy the books, and the writing is superb. I just am having trouble with the time differences.

subject: Carpathian Men

After having finished all of your books I tend to look at men differently these days. I know most women out there who've read your work are very drawn to the men you describe in your stories. I recently finally got the chance to see the movie "The Brotherhood of the Wolf." If any of you have seen this I wonder if you noticed that there were 3 Carpathian male characters in that story. The blonde lead actor was for me, definately Julian. I kept looking at him and about half way into the movie I turned to my friend who'd also been reading your stories and asked her if she thought it was Julian and she totally agreed with me. Then there were 2 other actors, one who played the Indian half brother of the lead actor and the one who played the bad guy. All of these actors had all French names and truly had the look of having stepped out of the pages of one of your novels. For anyone out there who is into the fantasy of a Carpathian man...this movie is a definate must see.

I started reading your books in June of this year. I really love them. I've always been a sucker for a good romance, i also like them because I've always believed in vampiers. I always thought that there was a good vampier and bad vampiers. I'm only 16 years old and haven't gotten around to reading all of your Dark series books but I'm pretty close I have about 3 of the older ones an all of the newer ones. I just got finished reading Dark melody and i realy loved it. I'm trying to buy them all. I'm a book worm, I read about six books a week so ya, anyway I'm going to try to get some friends together soon to go to vegas and stay at the Dark Palace. I think that would be cool. Anyway i have to go i'm in the middle of 6th period. bye.

I came across the Dark Series at Walden's bookstore. I bought Dark Prince and Dark Guardian. I fell in love with the charecter's so much I read both book's in less than 2 days, I ended up going and buying the rest. I just bought Dark Melody and read it in 5 hours. Talk about a reading experience. I have to admit the book about Dayan is my favourite in the series. I love them all, but this one really stood out for me. The sequence of events was completely different. Dayan himself is different from most of the other male Carpathians, so his reactions to the troubles he and Corrinne faced were so unique, and definetly endearing. It was such a beautiful book, and the inclusion of characters from the rest of the series only added to its appeal.

Ms. Feehan: I recently lost my husband at the age of 45 to a car accident and your books have given me a great deal of comfort. My husband was a lot like the Carpathian males as he was very protective and sensitive to my needs. I miss him very much and feel the grief that the lifemates feels when they are apart. He too was tall, dark and handsome.

I have starting collecting your books and I do read them over and over again. My grief counselor told me it was a way to keep my husband alive for me emotionally.

I just want to thank you for writing such well written, fast paced and wonderful love stories. I do have questions to ask you and like every writer you must get told a hundred times how to write another story. So here's my two cents, I would like to see a story that involves a woman of more mature years (oh say 45) and how the male would relate to a human woman of that age. So many stories are about women no older than 25. There must be romance books out there about women my age. If so, I can't find them.

I do love your books and look forward to each and every one I read. I especially like the new Ghostwalker series. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

I love your books AND your website! :) Perhaps my favorite books were not part of the Dark Series, but the stand alone ones like The Scarletti Curse and Lair of the Lion. I enjoy the element of suspense and the love (both romantic and carnal) found in your stories. :)

Your website is truly amazing! I love the ease which people can navigate it and the sheer amount of stuff! Like the excerpts (I like reading the unedited versions, it gives it something special), the animated book covers that switch, fan pages, and the button that says "Do not press!" It's very personal, informative as well as organized!

I aboslutely fell in love with your books and your detailed writing. Never have I come ucross a book filled with so much passion and numerous lovesecenes.

Just a couple of thoughts. I enjoy your stories immensely, but I have a few suggestions. First, in the new series with the gifted sisters, I'm guessing you wrote these stories to provide a way for the women in your stories to have the gifts and for the men to come to them as ordinary people. I read your first story as a novella, and was disappointed with how the protagonists powers were presented. It just seemed shallow to me. On the other hand, Lover Beware (I believe that's the one with the woman who helps the gifted soldiers via her father's lab) was wonderful. She had her own independence and yet the story seemed to have much more depth.
As for the Dark Series, I am assuming that the story of Dayan is the last in the series. His story and that of Julian didn't compare with the others...your tales regarding Mikhail, Darius, Jacques, and Gregori were wonderful, not to mention the great stories of the Scarletti family and the Chrismas story where the man is the survivor of the burns from saving his children. If you keep writing this series, is there any way you can go back to those types of stories? (I just became bored with the continuous details of Corrine's health.)

After all of this, please know that I truly enjoy the majority of your books, and have purchased and read all but the latest "gifted sisters" story.
I'll be looking forward to any new stories from the ones regarding the gifted soldiers, and/or w/the characters from the Scarletti family.
Thanks for some wonderful entertainment. I'd rather read one of your novels than watch 99% of the shows on television!

First of all, I want to tell you that I absolutely love your "Dark" series. It is my favorite collection of all time. I love how the story between the Carpathians and their women never gets old. Keep up the awesome work!
On the other hand, I saw the posters and t-shirts for the "Dark Melody" book and I didn't like them at all. I just don't think your vision of how the men look was captured. They don't seem very dark and dangerous as they are in your books. However, it is only my opinion. I still love your work, although not everyone sees your visions as you do. Or how I do for that matter. I see them just as you have them in your books. But may you always have the inspiration you need for such great work.

I just finished "Shadow Game"... a great book. My first thought upon finishing was "I hope she brings back these characters in another novel.. there is SO much more that could be done with them!" Luckily I kept paging through the book and found your website, where I learned "Shadow Game" is the first book in a (new) series. Your characters are wonderful, and I love the style of your writing. I do hope, however, that in the next book, you limit the number of lovemaking scenes to no more than two; truthfully, one (or none) would be ideal. I'm DEFINITELY no prude, but feel that "plot" versus "sex" wins hands-down. The "Shadow Game" plot was fantastic but I found myself fliping through numerous pages more than once to find "plot", taking much enjoyment from my reading. Now that I've gotten THAT out of my system, I'll say that I hope the next book will contain more than just one of the characters developed in "Shadow..". If so, I know I will enjoy it.

I just got the book on Sunday afternoon, and finally finished it Tuesday evening. I loved it!! I really wish you could put your books on the screen, I would love to see the handsome men myself, my imagination probably doesnt do them justice. I've finished Shadow games on Saturday, it was Great also. You are a Superb writer. I better not read your books too fast, i'll have nothing else to read!

Your books are great, since reading Dark Prince I have been hooked, You write so well, that one day I wish I can write just as well. Your stories are good they make you feel as you are in the book or story with them. I love the humor you put in your stories. I find it is hard to read a book with no humor at all.
