One of my co-workers let me read "Dark Guardian" because we both are into Buffy the Vampire Slayer. She was like here this is great. I held onto it a few days and had no real plans on reading it but one day I was like what the heck. What could it hurt well..after reading the "Dark Guardian" I was HOOKED!! I had to have every book in the series. I do now and I'm eagerly a waiting the next installment. Thank you so much because before I wasn't a big reader but now I just LOVE THE CARPATHIANS and you have kept my belief in soul mates alive!!

Dear Christine,
I have been reading romance for years but always over- look the Vampire stories. I ran into someone in the bookstore that insisted I read Dark Gold. After a too short, sleepless night in which I read the entire book, I ran to the bookstore and bought as many of the Dark Series books as I could. I think your fans would buy and read your books as fast as you can write and publish them. Too bad we have to wait so long between books.
Do you have any books that were released before 1999? I have been trying to find others that you may have written but haven't been successful.
I have enjoyed the Dark Series as much as I enjoyed the Left Behind series. I am anxously awaiting the continuing saga's of the Carpathian race.

I have been a romance reader for a very long time and I must say that reading your dark series is the first time that I have been truly engaged and suprised. As I'm sure you know, romance books have their formula but I enjoyed the diffent take on a very old story. I love the way you were able to re-invent and make interesting a vampire's tale. A question though: Do you think that "great Love" could ever save anyone that's turned. I'm sure you've been asked before but I think it would make an interesting tale.

I recently went on vacation over July 4th and finished the one book I had brought to read. My friend loaned me your book Dark Guardian. I had never heard of your books. Needless to say, over the course of a 6 hour flight, I finished my first Dark series book. Since then, I've bought the 1st three in the series and have finished all of them in a matter of hours. First, Thank You for writing books that are entralling that I hate to put one down once I begin them. But, being a mother of a 2 1/2 yr. old, 15 month old, and a 6 week old, my time now to read is very limited. But once I do have the chance, I appreciate and enjoy the characters and all the components and personality that you give them. It brings them more to life for the reader.
My question is: Are you going to have a book about Skylar in the near future? With her revealing her interest of wolves in Dark Legend, and Francesca saying how Dimitri protected and worked with them, I was hoping or rather jumping to conclusions that maybe Skylar was the one to be his lifemate.
Thank you again for your stories. I enjoy each one more and more and I like when the previous characters are featured in later issues so you can follow their progress and that if they have children whether it is a male or female.
I hope to hear from you in the future and look forward to reading many more Dark Series books.

I love these books. I went into a bookstore one day, and I started browsing around, not really very interested, until one book out of hundreds caught my eye. I picked up a brand new copy of Dark Guardian, and laughed at the cheesy title and picture on the front. I turned it over and read the back.
The words 'ran with wolves' snatched my attention, and when I finished reading the back, I knew I had to buy it or kick myself for at least another two weeks for stupidity.
Since then, I have been very interested in finding more about the Carpathians, and all of Lucian's convoluted family tree.
I have gone through this site enough times now that i am ever more frantic to buy the rest of the Dark books.

Dear Christine,
I am hooked! My sister passed along her copy of "Dark Guardian" and highly recommended that I read it. The long weekend I spent back home included several inquiries - "have you started the book yet?" I didn't have the heart to tell her that I wasn't into vampires, that I hadn't started it--knowing full well that I probably wouldn't read it at all.
I need to say that the same curiosity that killed the cat got the better of me too. I can't describe the gaze in my sister's eyes as she explained why "Dark Guardian" was a must read. My sister has always been somewhat of a poet, a believer in romance and true love. I, on the other hand, stopped believing in the fairytale long ago thanks to the school of hard knocks. But, just to watch her expressions, to listen to her talk about Lucian - this carpathian male and the way he expressed his love for his life mate captured my interest.
Boy, was my sister right! Once I started, I couldn't put the book down. What an amazing love story! Who wouldn't want a Lucian in their life? When I read that this was the last book in the series, I knew I was saved because I could go back and start at the beginning. ...Which, I did, but am now sad to report that I'm nearly finished. I am reading slower now because I don't want the magic to end.
One prized referral from my sister has lead to several other fans you now have. There are at least a dozen people at work and family members who have now have the series. All are now officially die hard fans. We read during the lunch hour, after work, while on the treadmill, on weekends into the wee hours of the morning. The clencher: nobody wants to lend their books out because they're afraid they won't get them back. Everyone has resigned to buying their own series as it is a keeper. My only wish is that my "Dark Challenge" copy would have included "Julian" on the cover. Someone here at work got Julian on hers. I'm fairly certain after careful review that we would be willing to pay big bucks to have Julian wallpaper made up for our bathroom and bedroom walls. Wow. And Lucian? Wow too.
Christine, you have managed to keep your audience spell-bound. We can only hope that you will continue this series because we have grown to love each and every character and their stories. You have provided an excellent story line. Everything flows. The sense of humor that you have lent to each character causes us to laugh out loud more often than not. We love it and your style, period! Thanks so much, and please keep the series going as we are anxiously waiting...

Mrs Feehan I have just finish reading "The Awakening" and I love it as much as your other books. the dark books.
What would happen if you will make a love story of a carpathian male falling in love with a beautiful sexy leopard female,,,,,,,hum that will shortly be a very intresting story to read and I am sure will enjoy reading about this two species coming together as one, imagine how powerful their childrens could be.

Finally!!! I've said a million times that I would find your website, and now finally did after reading all of the Dark series that I have so far, twice. Honesty, the Carpathians are a dream. You make a woman wish that such things are real. Bought and read Dark Guardian about 3 1/2 weeks
ago. Realized it was a series so went out and
bought and ordered the rest. Have now read all
in the series listed in the back of the book. Loved
them all. Now, let's get realistic. Considering how
old these Carpathians are, can't you write a lifemate
who is in her mid 50's, and about 30 lbs overweight.
That would still be a young chick for these guys, don't
you think. It's hard to put myself in place of a 23
year old with a perfect size one figure, "tiny tucked
in waist", long flowing hair, flawless skin, etc. Maybe the Carpathian can do a little
magic on the older woman and zap her into becoming
her "true self" and make her beautiful, young and tiny.
Those of us who are older and a little on the overweight
or unattractive side need some hope here. Your men
are just to wonderful to forget. Since my nose has been
stuck in a book for the last 3 1/2 weeks, my husband
is getting a little worried about me. Guess I should
make him read them to see what women really like!

I admire your writing talent. I, myself, am an aspiring young writer. I am very fond of your style of writing. I sometimes have a hard time getting used to the various ways authors write, but I caught on with yours instantly. When you catch up to a writers block, how do you go around it? or do you simply wait it off? lately, it's like i have a long-term (perhaps lifetime... ;\) writers block. The only time I'm able to make anything right is when my emotions are out of control-- like I'm overly happy, or overly unhappy. I write both poetry and prose, for the time being. I'm not about to venture into the world of writing novels just yet. I am but an amatuer, I have much to learn.
How did the Carpathian world come to you? and are there really people living in the Carpathian Mountains? I suppose I could look this up myself, or simply assume that people do live there... but it's so much easier to simply ask other people, these days. ;] I've only read Dark Legend, but I have every intention of reading the other books from the Dark Series, once I'm able to. I fell in love with Lucian after finishing the book for the first time. (not literally, heh, and i've read it twice in the year or two that i've owned the book.) In hopes of improving my writing skills, I have gotten myself into the role playing world. I have many characters; the list is endless. When I'm not role playing, I'm writing, if I'm not writing, I'm reading. If i'm not doing any of that, I'm sleeping. haha. But, anyways, I would greatly appreciate any writing advice you could offer, even if its nothing more than a few words. I hope to someday be a great writer, like you are, presently.
